Do you want to achieve something exceptional in your life?
Do you believe that you were born with a greater mission to change the world? Then you have no excuse for being mediocre and staying in your comfort zone.
Newsflash: If you don’t change anything and just wait for a miraculous awakening, nothing is going to happen.
Without making any significant fundamental changes, you will never do anything amazing in your life.
Do you want to know why? Read the following 7 things that absolutely prove this point.
1. You can’t handle the truth.
First of all, no online article will compensate for all the time you’ve already wasted in your life, no matter how good it is.
As long as you walk around so blissfully ignorant to the world around you with your head up your butt, nothing in your life is going to change. Neither you will achieve something truly amazing. That’s because you are too stubborn to admit there are numerous things you have no idea about and you’re not ambitious enough to acknowledge them.
Besides, nothing great comes out of the words “I’ll start tomorrow” or “I’ll start next Monday”. If you wait for the magical right moment to start something new and change your life, this moment will never come, and you’ll be waiting for the rest of your life. Let that sink in.
2. You’re not curious enough.
While you’re wasting your time scrolling through your IG feed, someone else is learning how to build their own business from scratch. And when you celebrate your success in beating the final boss in another silly mobile game, someone else is getting their Ph.D. in Computer Science.
If you want to be successful and do something meaningful with your life, you have to learn how to be curious about the world around you. You have to question everything and aspire to find out the truth.
When you are curious about the things that are happening outside of your bubble, you become more aware of the reality you live in. Without this awareness, you are just another aimless mediocre human being.
3. You overestimate your intelligence. And that’s not sexy.
Here’s another harsh truth you might not like. You are not as smart as you think. Plus, you’re certainly not as special as your mama told you.
You went to the same educational path as everyone else. You read the same news and you watch the same movies. By the way, when was the last time you went to an art exposition or read a propper worthwhile book? When was the last time you got out of your comfort zone?
Learning is not something that happens only in a classroom. Being intelligent is not only about how many degrees you have and how many exams you’ve passed. No matter how much you think you know about, there are tons of other things you have literally no idea about. The greatest teacher we have is life, and if you are ignorant about all the lessons it teaches you, you’re going to be stuck in your bubble forever.
4. You don’t have a thirst for knowledge.
Perhaps you think philosophy is a pointless and boring subject. Maybe you used to fall asleep every time in history class. Why learn about something that’s long gone and forgotten, right?
Well, without our history, we wouldn’t be the people we are today, and we wouldn’t live in this modernized world we live in. And without philosophy, we wouldn’t understand anything about our feelings, emotions, behavioral patterns, and our life in general.
But you don’t really care about that stuff. You care about the important things in life. For instance, which celebrity just got married, how to stalk your partner on social media, and how to get skinny without any diets and exercises. That’s the spirit.
Nothing amazing will happen to you if you don’t take time to learn where you come from and why things are the way they are today. You won’t achieve anything great if you lack thirst for knowledge.
5. You care what people think about you.
When all you care about fitting in, how the hell would you stand out?
Probably you spend a lot of money and time on choosing your daily outfits, instead of educating yourself and learning new valuable skills. Unfortunately, our society nowadays makes us care more about how others view us than how to become better people. Well, let me break it for you. Appearance is not everything!
As long as your life goals include having the approval of others, you won’t be able to see how amazing it is to be different. But not different in the same way that other people are. To be honest, in their attempt to stand out from the crowd, a lot of people look and behave exactly alike.
In case you want to be successful and do wonderful things with your life, don’t let that be you. Don’t let others’ opinion about you stop you from being exceptional. If you truly believe you were made for greater things, you shouldn’t give a damn about what would people say. Just do you and embrace your true colors. That’s the only way to progress.
6. You don’t know how to ask the right questions.
There is a great power in properly placed questioning in life. As mentioned before, being curious about the world around you is crucial for anyone’s success. If you don’t know how to ask the right questions, you wouldn’t be able to get proper information about anything in life.
To begin with, you can start by questioning your own self. You need to become aware of your own goals, dreams, and capabilities. After that, you’ll need to spend more time learning about different human behaviors, rather than focusing only on yourself.
Are you certain you are an intelligent human being with lots of possibilities, and you were made to create amazing things? Then you must learn how to ask the right questions and be curious about life outside of your comfort zone.
7. You haven’t been through enough life lessons.
In other words, you haven’t failed enough. You live your life in a mediocre pressureless tempo. You just don’t feel like doing more and being more than you are now. And honestly, that’s not as impressive as you may think.
Wake up. Go to work. Go home. Go to bed. And when the new, full of opportunities day comes, you wake up. Then go to work. Go back home. And go to sleep.
Sounds familiar? If you are stuck in a daily routine, and you don’t aim to change anything, you can’t expect amazing things to just happen to you. Magic doesn’t come to those who are not willing to do open their minds to see it. Sure, it’s much easier to just do the same thing day after day. Well, if you prefer this kind of average lifestyle, don’t expect anything exceptional from your life.
The fear of failure won’t take you as far as you wish.
You need to accept the lessons life gives you through your mistakes and your failure.
Every downfall has a valuable message for you. You just have to open your eyes to see it.
Read carefully: The only thing that’s holding you back from doing something truly amazing is YOU!
