When Marshall Burnette and his soon to be wife were deciding on who should shoot the video of their wedding day, they were faced with the same challenges that most couples are faced with, like price, experience, service, etc. Videography can be one of the most important and expensive parts of capturing your wedding day, so it is not something you want to leave in the hands of an amateur. You also don’t want to have to spend a small fortune to capture memories that are priceless.
So after much consternation, the couple chose to go with a videographer that they both could trust: their dog.
Armed with a GoPro camera on a harness their dog, Ryder, shot what could be one of the greatest wedding video ever. Something about the wandering curiosity, the interaction, and the spirit of the dog turned what is normally a pretty standard video type into something unique and beautiful. Ryder was able to capture the entire day from start to finish. According to Burnett, “On November 2nd, 2014, Addie and I got married on the top of Roan Mountain, TN in 2 feet of snowy wonder. It was cold and magical. Our dog, Ryder, insisted on filming the wedding video, so we let her do her thing. She took awhile to edit the footage, but we think she did a great job.”
