it should help us bring forth emotions we’ve never felt before. Elevate ourselves to heights we’ve never known we could reach. Fall into a heavenly sensation of extasy.
Love should help us grow and bring forth the best version of ourselves. It should help us naturally open up and start seeing the world through the eyes of the heart.
Love should taste sweet, not bitter. But that doesn’t mean that this sweetness won’t come with a certain amount of pain.
Because love demands effort, tons of patience, and sacrifice.
The truth is, strong relationships don’t simply happen overnight.
When you love another, you never stop fighting for what you have.
You tolerate things you personally do not find enjoyable. You make sacrifices for the sake of the relationship. You welcome changes because this is the only true way forward.
You don’t just jump ship whenever the waters get a little wavy.
You either go through thick and thin hand in hand walking through the storm, or you don’t start the journey at all.
Love isn’t just made of joy and careless time spent together.

Because when you love someone from the depths of your heart, you stick with them.
You don’t fight for them only when it’s convenient for you. You don’t stand by their side when everything is pink and abandon them when times get dark. You don’t disappear when you are needed and reappear when you need something from them.
When you truly love a person, you don’t let them go through the harshness of life alone. You let them know it will all be well, no matter how bad the odds are. You never let them suffer alone. You are in it as a team.
As long as you stay by each other’s side, you can survive anything!
