Toxic individuals wear a perfectly-fitting mask of goodness and trust, but in reality, they are rotten to the core.
They might sometimes act with kindness and do nice things for someone in order to get on their good side but trusting them blindly is a very bad idea.
They do not deserve to be given our full and undivided attention and we’d all be better off if we realize this as soon as possible. You can treat them well and wish them well, but they won’t be satisfied with just that. And you must know that no matter what you do, you won’t be able to change them. Change has to come from within.
No matter how forgiving you are as a person, toxic people will hurt you over and over again.
They will abuse your good nature as long as you let them. The more time and energy you invest in them the bigger the disappointments will be. And that is not something you should be willing to tolerate under any circumstances.
These people don’t appreciate your efforts because they only care about their own selfish needs. They cannot see themselves for what they are and that is why it is simply pointless to keep giving them chances.
They don’t feel true regret when they mess up and they won’t feel down when they see you struggling.
They feel that they deserve everything you’re giving them when this couldn’t be farther from the truth. You don’t deserve to be used in this way and keeping these people in your life is bad for your health.
A toxic person always looks for ways to abuse your trust and drain you of your resources, and this is why you need to let them go before they are able to do you further harm.
No person deserves to be played in this way, you included. So stop settling for toxic people who are no good for you. Show yourself some respect and rise above them. You have enough problems in your life to deal with as it is.
If there is a person around you who your gut tells you might be toxic, don’t hesitate to walk away from them.
Often, parting ways is the best thing two people can do. There’s plenty of people out there who will show appreciation for what you do for them and will treat you with the respect you truly deserve.
