Husband plotted to murder his wife, mother of his 3 children, for the insurance money and then marry his mistress
Dallas Michaels plotted to murder his wife, the mother of his 3 children, by poisoning her on a family trip.
- Theresa Michaels’ life was saved when detectives showed up at her home to warn her.
- They informed her that her husband was planning on poisoning her with fentanyl.
- Dallas Michaels has been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit murder and one count of solicitation to possess narcotics.
In June, Theresa Michaels was getting ready to go on a weekend trip from Arizona to California.
Dallas was engaged to the woman he was having an affair with.
Theresa explained that the woman her husband was having an affair with did not know that he was married. According to Theresa, Dallas had lied to the woman just like he had lied to her. The mother-of-three is now trying to get her life back in order and is seeking help through a GoFundMe post. There, she uses her maiden name, Theresa Doctors, and explains that she needs help with relocation costs: “I am in the process of obtaining a divorce by default. However, in the meantime, I am struggling to make ends meet with my income alone. I have held a steady job for the past 15 years. I am behind on mortgage payments and have to move. I want to get far away from here.”
Police have arrested and charged Dallas.
Dallas’ plan to murder his wife was leaked by an unidentified woman who spoke to Mesa Police. According to the police, “On June 25, 2020, detectives obtained cell phone texts between Dallas and the female where he confirmed he was going to California on a family trip and was ‘doing it then.’ He again asked for the female to notify him if she came across anything in the next few days. The female called Dallas and the conversation was overheard by detectives. In the conversation, Dallas arranged to purchase fentanyl from the female and being committed to the task for the weekend.” He has now been arrested and is being held without bond at Maricopa County. The police added that Dallas has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and solicitation to possess narcotics.
