Trust me, I’ve been where you are right now.
I have made the error of easily giving my soul to a person who appeared to be my soulmate.
I’ve gone through suffering the consequences of putting all my trust in a person who was only there to take advantage of me. I have seen the true face of a deceiver. I was tricked into believing that I’d found true love.
And as time went on, I learned what it truly means to be a fool for love.
It means to be someone who is blinded by their natural need to find true love. Someone whose leading wish is to find their other half and enjoy a life of togetherness. A hopeless romantic who sadly falls for people’s words and empty promises. Someone unable to see that their feelings are causing them to look the other way when they are being wronged and who will forgive even the worst of treasons.
That is sadly who I was. I was the naive fool who was desperate for acceptance, understanding, and love at any cost. I gave my heart and my soul to someone who I believed was my one and only… just to be given back my heart in pieces.
Today, speaking as someone who has gone through all of this and more, I will try to pass on what I’ve learned.
I will try to help you understand the reality of it all, no matter how painful it may seem.
Not everyone appears kind at first means you well. Not everyone is capable of loving you the way you need to be loved. Some people come into your life for all the right reasons, and you should do everything in your power to keep them by your side. But others are just there to use you. To play with your emotions so they can get what they want. Some are out there purely to hurt you.
And for the most part, it’s difficult to see these people for who they truly are because they are great at hiding their real nature.
They are incredibly apt when it comes to dealing with others and taking advantage of them, so you should be extremely careful.
Be careful who you surrender your heart and open your soul to. Be careful who you give the key to your world to and share your deepest secrets with. Choose wisely when it comes to making someone a priority in your life.
Don’t deny your heart the freedom to choose but also don’t shut your mind off from the conversation.
Keep a sharp eye open because not everyone who appears kind will give you true kindness. Not everyone will take care of your heart. And not everyone out there will be able to love you and fight for you in a way that you truly deserve.
And should you find the right one, make sure to fight for them and never let them go!
