Although Denis is a huge social media sensation due to his unique looks, he prefers the life of a small-village man. As per Oddity Central, he lives in Russia’s Krasnoyarsk region, where everyone knows his story, and he gets to practice his favorite hobbies – hunting and fishing. He also loves spending time with his girlfriend of four years.
Vashurin opened up about his life story in a recent interview with the Russian YouTuber ‘VASYA NA SENE’.
The 33-year-old man said that his parents knew he was not like other kids ever since he was a young boy. He was a hyperactive child, despite being the smallest in his age group. As he was growing up, the size difference became more and more visible.

After reaching his teenage years, Denis had suddenly stopped aging.
While talking to the interviewer, he explained:
“When I realized that I would no longer change physically, at first I felt somewhat uneasy. I thought about how everything would be, how my life would go on, whether it would be hard for me.”

Despite his unusual condition, Denis claims he has managed to lead a normal life. Though, he recalls many times he was in situations where he had to prove his real age, even to the local police. One time, as he was pulled over by traffic police, he was suspected of forging his driver’s license.
What frustrates Denis the most is that even people who know him sometimes ask him if he feels as young as he looks. However, he claims he has the personality of an old person, at least to his friends who jokingly call him ‘grandpa’.
“I’m a bore, I’m stubborn, I’m lethargic, like a bear during hibernation.”
