Christian woman reveals on TikTok lengthy list of STRICT RULES for her marriage that “make people ANGRY”
A woman has divided the Internet after revealing the controversial rules she and her husband live by.
Bailey and Zac McPherson, a married couple from California, have startled social media with the rules they follow throughout their marriage. Although their set of boundaries “make people angry,” the mom-of-one says that’s their way of showing respect and loyalty to one another.
Bailey reveals the questionable rules in a series of TikTok videos. The first clip has amassed over 2.5 million views and more than 105,000 likes.

One of the customs the couple follows says: “No friends of the opposite sex.”
In the same spirit, another says: “No texting the opposite sex without the other knowing.”
In a follow-up video, Bailey adds “More rules my husband and I have in our marriage that make people ANGRY.” The list continues:
- “No lusting after others(no following scandalous pages).”
- “Always put each other first(even over parents).”

After shocking TikTok users with their rules, Bailey has received plenty of critical comments, Daily Mail notes. For instance, one person wrote:
“Tell me you don’t trust your partner without telling me you don’t trust your partner.”
Another said: “This just sounds like insecurities tbh.”
A third added: “Sorry this is absolutely insane.”
Despite the negative comments, the wife insists the rules represent setting boundaries, which is crucial for a healthy marriage.
Bailey explained:
“It’s not a lack of trust thing so much as it’s just a boundary of respect that we both feel is right for us.
I personally feel like as a married woman, I have no need for a companionship with another man that I cannot get with my husband. My husband has no need for a companionship with another woman that he cannot get from his wife.
To me and my husband, it would be a red flag if my partner could not respect said boundaries.
At the end of the day, I don’t expect non-Christians to understand Christian marriages.”
