It might be hard to believe but sometimes something as simple as a selfie can be a person’s downfall.
And that is precisely what happened to a man whose wife left him after she noticed an unusual detail in a selfie he had taken from his hotel room.
The wife of the man in question, who goes by the nickname @sheshough, said he stayed in a hotel for one night as he had to make an appearance at a casino party.
At one point, he sent her a questionable selfie which was proof enough for her that he had been unfaithful, and now, she’s apparently single.
She said the following:
“My husband sent me pics trying to look all cute in his suite at the casino, but I noticed some odd things, now he is single. Can you guess what it is?”

One person jokingly wrote in response:
“This is what those ‘spot the difference’ cereal boxes were training us for.”
And after inspecting the photos closely, a lot of people were able to spot what she was talking about – there is a hair straightener placed on the bathroom counter.
Some people were quick to note that hotels normally do not provide these kinds of things so it must have been left by someone else…
“Oooofff the straightener and the detangling comb,” one commenter said.

Making things even worse for the guy, people also noticed that he wasn’t wearing his wedding ring.
The clip was since seen millions of times, and in another post, the wife said:
“The first thing I saw was the straightener, it was just there in plain sight. The second thing I noticed was a purse on the floor, it looked like a coach bag or something, maybe like a Michael Kors bag.
“Supposedly, that wasn’t his room and that was a friend’s room he was in, like another guy’s room who has a girlfriend or something. But I’m not believing it because that’s just all too sketchy, like why are you in somebody’s else’s room taking photos?”
