When you lose your mother, you lose a part of yourself

If your mother has passed away, then you must know how painful that experience can be. And while the pain slowly goes away with time, you will always miss her.

Our mothers are some of the strongest, most resistant people.

They care for us like no other and they are always by our side no matter the difficulties we may be facing, even when we are the ones who messed up in the first place.

A mother’s love for her child cannot be compared to anything else and truly carries on long after one or the other has passed away. Your dear mother is the first person you connect to in this world because you live inside of her in your first stages of development and spend so much time with her after you are born. She is your protector, your biggest admirer, and the person who will never leave you to suffer.

When you came into this world everything changed for your mother.

She never before thought that she was capable of loving another human being with such intensity. And now that your mother is gone, you feel incomplete. You will never be the same again. The bigger the role your mother played in your life, the more difficult it will be once she’s gone.

Once she is gone, you no longer feel like the same person.

You feel indescribable pain and it is almost as the world itself is falling apart. The feeling of losing your dear mother is not something that can be put into words.

Nothing in this world can prepare you for this loss. She has been by your side ever since you took your first breath and this is why her absence leaves you with such crippling pain. As time goes by you will gradually regain your composure but that doesn’t mean that things will ever get back to ‘normal.’

You will find yourself curled up into a ball wondering how you will be able to go on without her.

You will not be able to ignore the emotional destruction happening inside you, and you will lose a big part of yourself as a consequence.

It will take a while for you to be able to get back to your routine and you will likely need a break from all and everything.

If you have lost your mother it is fully understandable how you are feeling right now, even if a long period of time has passed. But she loved you with all heart and she would not want you to feel as if moving forward is impossible. She would want you to have the happy and healthy life for which she brought you into this world.

We all need our own time to heal and even if you will never feel the same again, it will get better.
