A 103-year-old woman shared her story of what it was like picking cotton all day long.
TikToker Denise B (@blackbeauty) posted a video of her 103-year-old grandmother talking about picking cotton from 3.00am to 5.00pm, which was to be made into clothing. But even though she worked such a grueling and lengthy-shift job, the woman said she received very little pay.
The grandmother revealed how she barely even made $100 despite the long shifts and harsh working conditions.
The video has since amassed more than 3 million views with people expressing their admiration and respect to the grandmother as she reveals the realities of life back in those times.
