Love isn’t easy and it surely isn’t predictable. We must come to terms with this reality if we want to find true happiness.
You may think that if you love someone, they will inevitably come to love you too, but sadly, this couldn’t be farther from the truth.
Because we all have our own lens through which we look at the world. We all define love in different ways. We all have varying needs and wants when it comes to picking a partner. And moreover, we all have different ways of expressing and feeling emotions.
You cannot force someone else to love you.
You cannot teach them how to become your soulmate. And you should definitely not give your heart and soul to people who cannot give you their own. Because if they don’t love you as much as you love them, you could give them the stars and they still won’t care.
Staying with someone you feel is wrong for you is a complete waste of life. Settling for anyone who would share a roof with you, or because you are too afraid of being single is the worst thing you can do to yourself. It is simply self-destructive.
Love isn’t supposed to make you feel worthless.
Love isn’t supposed to make you say “it is what it is.” Love should ignite a fire inside your body. It’s supposed to teach you the true meaning of the word ‘unconditional.’ To make you experience emotions you never thought existed before. To make you feel free and boundless.
Love is the most important thing in the world.
And it is certainly the most fantastic feeling of all. And that is why a relationship should never be ‘satisfactory’ but filled with true love. It should be a force able to help you survive all of the hurdles that you can possibly face as a couple. It should be strong, passionate, crazy, and unique. It should push you up to heights you never imagined were reachable. It should put you at ease with being your true self.
So please don’t stay in a relationship that does not fulfill you just for the sake of it. Don’t settle for something hollow.
True love is out there, GO OUT AND FIND IT.
