Teacher Finds Baby Bears ‘Dancing’ In Finland Forest, Thinks It’s Just His Imagination

If there is one thing we can rely on, it is that nature always finds a way to surprise us. Oftentimes it is just when we believe we have seen it all, a surprise will come out of nowhere to shock us.

And Valterri Mulkahainen, a physical education teacher from Sotkamo, Finland, surely stumbled upon one of those surprises back in 2013.

Valterri’s hobby of photography lead him to capture some mesmerizing moments of wildlife on his camera.

While he was exploring the area near Martinselkonen stumbled on the most unexpected sight.

The first thing he spotted was a bear and a few small cubs in a clearing.

“The cubs behaved like little children,” Valtteri told Bored Panda.

“They were playing, and even started a few friendly fights. I felt like I was on a playground in front of my house, where small children frolic around. That’s how much they reminded me of little children. At one point, the three of them got up on their hind legs and started pushing each other. It was like they were dancing in a circle.”

For Valterri, it was a chance he simply couldn’t miss.

Hidden in a safe spot 50 metres away, he took pictures all evening and night.

His photographs are even more interesting due to the fact that Finish bears normally try to stay clear of humans as much as they can.

As soon as they detect the presence of a human they will often leave the area, which makes meetings such as the one Valterri had all the more rare.

Not sure about you, but it sure brought a smile on the faces of many people around the world seeing these bears act in this strange way.
