Southwest Airlines are facing criticism by social media users after one of their pilots allegedly said “Let’s Go Brandon” during a flight.
On Saturday, Twitter was filled with intense reactions, provoked by a Southwest pilot allegedly shouting “Let’s Go Brandon” over the plane’s intercom system. The scene reportedly occurred on Friday morning on a flight from Houston to Albuquerque, as per FOX News.
Until and unless @SouthwestAir fires its #LetsGoBrandon pilot I will never fly on that airline… https://t.co/i5RUDlQMzM

The news coverage of the "Let's Go Brandon" chant being repeated by a Southwest Airlines pilot brings to mind other Trumpian things that are permeating regular life.

Vulgarity stand-in from @SouthwestAir cockpit: “On Friday morning on a Southwest flight from Houston to Albuquerque, the pilot signed off his greeting over the public address system with the phrase, to audible gasps from some passengers.” https://t.co/fYgDsCFGcT

Responding to the criticism, Southwest said in a statement:
“[The airline] takes pride in providing a welcoming, comfortable, and respectful environment for the millions of Customers who fly with the airline each year and behavior from any individual that is divisive or offensive will not be tolerated.“

The controversial phrase “Let’s Go Brandon” went viral following race car driver Brandon Brown’s victory in a NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.
During a post-race interview, the crowd can be heard chanting “F*ck Joe Biden.” However, the reporter interviewing Brown claims they were saying “Let’s Go Brandon” instead.
