Whether they are jumping around trying to convince you to take them for a walk, begging for food, or just greeting you happily when you arrive home, dogs do all of the little things that bring a certain level of happiness to our lives.
Here are some of the more endearing reasons why dogs are and always will be man’s best friend:
1. Dogs are great company
Even when you are feeling sad and alone, your dog is always there, looking at you with those big hopeful eyes.
You get used to having their company all the time, and your house just feels empty without them.
One of the reasons why they’re considered to be man’s best friend is that dogs are simply a blessing to have around.
2. Dogs develop a deep connection with you
Treat your dog well and he will be the best friend you ever had.
He will weep for you when you are away from home and joyfully jump through the roof when you return.
Your dog will love you wholeheartedly, and that connection will never be broken.
3. They will do anything for you
Dogs will do amazing things for their owner or for their pups.
They will put their life on the line for you in all kinds of dangerous situations.
One of the reasons we bond so strongly with them is because we know that when push comes to shove they will do anything for us.
4. Dogs help you stay healthy
Regardless of how much stress we’re going through, our dogs will always lift our spirits up. When we play with them or take them out for a walk in the park, we are effectively doing something that will improve our mood, while also getting some needed exercise out of it.
In addition, dogs can be trained to care for their owners as guide dogs or to provide emotional support for people suffering from depression. Dogs can also sense diseases such as cancer and can be taught to help people with diabetes.
In short, dogs can be life-savers!
5. They teach us important lessons about life
It is known that dogs have a great enthusiasm for life. They see each day as a new wonder and enjoy every moment of it.
One of the reasons why we develop such strong relationships with dogs is because they inspire us to live a better life. They teach us to appreciate each and every moment, no matter how large or insignificant.
6. The relationship is mutually beneficial
As time goes by, we grow very special relationships with our dogs that work well for both parties. Dogs receive love, a home, food, and safety. We get company, loyalty, and affection.
And that is why we love each other so much.
There simply is no other animal on earth that we can develop such a deep bond with. It is more than obvious that we both get so much out of living life side by side.
7. Dogs know how to live life
All dogs want to do is open their eyes in the morning, greet you, jump around, play, eat, sleep, eat again, and so on. So much happiness in such simplicity. Of course, we humans have more responsibilities due to our higher levels of intelligence, but it sure would be a burden taken off our shoulders if we could enjoy such a simple life; no care in the world and completely sure of ourselves.
But at least, if you are a dog owner, you can enjoy this life through them. As long as you know what you’re getting yourself into, it can absolutely be worth it.
Your dog can be the most trusting friend you can wish for. But make sure to return the favor and be a great friend to your loyal companion.
