Poor Old Woman With No Electricity Reads Bible Faithfully Outside Her Hut, Capturing The Hearts Of Many

A Facebook user named Atty Jb Batancila posted photos of an unidentified old woman from the Phillippines passionately reading her bible outside of her home.

The lady lives in what is called a “Kubo” – a little hut – but is humbly honoring the lord by studying the bible whenever she can.

Atty revealed that the elderly lady’s hut does not have electricity. She has to read her bible outside in the daylight. Atty shared that the lady reminded her of her own grandmother who was also poor but was rich on the inside.

Psalm 119:105 says,

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” As believers, we can use the word of God to guide us throughout our lives. The one thing that remains at the end of this life is God’s word. “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever,” Isaiah 40:8.

We can all be inspired by this woman to appreciate the life we were given and keep our love for God alive. No matter how much we may or may not have in life, God’s word is our peace and absolution. Let us follow her example and be students of our Lord in the heavens no matter our circumstances.
