Maine Coon is a kind of cat breed world-famous for their size and breathtaking aesthetics.
Their look is typically described as an interesting mix between a cat and a lynx, however, with fluffy paws, ear tufts, and large personalities.
They are also known as ‘the Gentle Giant’ due to the fact that they are the largest domesticated cat breed in the world.
Needless to say, they have a gentle and laid-back nature, as well as a playful character.
Roberta Sijka, a cat lover and specialized photographer, has fondly captured the loveliness and unique character of these creatures.
He shares the following about his art:
“My passions are cats and photography, I do my best to combine these two things as good as possible.”
He also added he got his inspiration from a“photo of Dolce Vita and De La Loo – two of the most majestic black Maine Coons…photographed beautifully on a simple black background.”
The passion for specifically this breed of cats started when Sijka and his family moved to China more than a decade ago. After some time had passed, they (more specifically his wife Izabella) started a breeding program, as they fell in love with the mesmerizing Maine Coons.
After the first kittens were born, the photography journey started, as Sijka decided to take pictures “that had something special to them.” Consequently, after a while, he found his current passion and great pleasure of capturing beautiful images of these lovely creatures.
