‘Phoenix Karen’ slapped in the face after telling shopper to ‘go back to Mexico’

A US woman has been recorded getting a slap on the face after she told another woman at a shop in Arizona to “go back to Mexico”.

In what has since become a viral video showing the Saturday gas station shop incident in Phoenix, a verbal fight between the two women was recorded as it unfolded.

A person who happened to witness the altercation named Greg Conn shared the video on social media and said the incident happened after the woman started shouting at the clerk because a gas pump at the store was not working.

According to Conn the older woman then started a verbal confrontation with a younger woman waiting in line, after which “the lady told the clerk not to serve her, told her she can leave, and go back to her country”.

“This is my country” the younger woman can be heard saying, “native Americans are from this country”.

The older woman can be heard trying to persuade the clerk to not serve the younger woman.

After that, she approaches the man recording and tells him to leave because he “is not part of this”.

She then goes on to ask the younger woman:

“Where are you from? Where were you born?”

She then says “you’re going back to Mexico”.

The argument eventually got even more heated when the older woman appeared to take a hold of the younger woman’s arm and the younger woman slapped her across the face.

The older one then left the store.

“You deserved it in my opinion,” Conn can be heard saying. “Self defence on her part.”

“She was saying that she owned the place, that she was a manager there, but I have spoken with the CEO of Super Pumper — he’s saying that is not the case. She is not affiliated with any of the stores nationwide,” he told FOX 10.
