Nebraska Josh Fight: Hundreds of guys named Josh fought for the right to keep their name in an EPIC battle

The Josh Fight meme came to life. And it was legendary!
- In 2020, Josh Swain challenged all the other Joshs into a grand battle royale, stating: “whoever wins gets to keep the name.”
- The Josh fight meme actually came to life, with hundreds of Joshs fighting for their names armed with pool noodles.
- The winner was a five-year-old boy awarded with the noble title ‘King Josh’.
- Josh Swain’s event inspired a fundraiser helping the Children’s Hospital & Medical Center Foundation, which has already raised about $12k.
Last year, a person named Josh Swain created a group chat with all the other Josh Swains he could find on Facebook and challenged them for an epic battle. The winner was promised to keep the name, while all the other ones had to change theirs.

The organizer of the legendary contest wrote at the time:
“Precisely, 4/24/2021, 12:00 PM, meet at these coordinates, (40.8223286, -96.7982002) we fight, whoever wins gets to keep the name, everyone else has to change their name, you have a year to prepare, good luck.”
As the news of the Josh battle quickly went viral on social media, Josh Swain had no other choice but to follow through with the fight. But there was one significant obstacle standing in his way.
As FOX News reports, the coordinates he had randomly picked “landed on some farm owner’s land who did not agree to host such a ridiculous event.” So, Swain chose a new spot for the grand event – 40.858689, -96.784136, which is at Air Park Green Area in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The Nebraska fighters also contributed to a benevolent cause. They raised money for the Children’s Hospital & Medical Center Foundation, which provides medical care to local children.
By April 26, the fundraiser has raised nearly $12,000.
What’s more, the Josh mob also brought in a ton of non-perishable food for the Lincoln Food Bank.
