Sometimes Some Of The Most Toxic People Come Disguised As Friends And Family
“There’s folks you just don’t need. You’re better off without em. Your life is just a little better because they ain’t in it.”
― William Gay
Toxic individuals are all around us but sometimes you are looking at the wrong people without knowing it. Sometimes they can be the most unexpected people and facing this reality is crucial when moving forward.
And while you might not want to point at your family or friends, sometimes, you may have to. They can be just as treacherous as strangers or colleagues you don’t see eye to eye with. Just because they have been a part of your life for years does not mean they can not at some point cause you harm.
Even the most vital people in your life can turn against you, and that is never easy to come to terms with.
These individuals could wear a mask and pretend to be your friends, but in fact, be your worst enemies. No matter what you want to call them, these people are not the kind of people you want anywhere near you. They push you down and will use any of your actions against you.
There is no harm in getting away from the people who are bringing you down, no matter if they are relatives, friends, or total strangers. Exactly the opposite. Sometimes even a family member can be harmful to us and in some cases leaving them behind is the only way for you to get a shot at a bright future.
And while it is much harder to cut people who should be close to you out of your life, if they are toxic you should not have to think twice.
You should never allow manipulators who have a habit of lying to you and blame you for situations you have no control over to remain in your life. That will only make things worse. The only way forward is to remove such people from your life, even if it may cause you temporary pain – not unless they change their ways.
You don’t owe anything to people who knowingly and intentionally make you suffer.
Why waste your time with them if they end up stabbing you in the back after everything you’ve done for them? Those who truly care for you would never betray you, always remember that.
Keep your mental and physical health in mind and do what is best for you.
