‘Mortified’ mum discovers daughter, 5, took her lube to school to use as hand sanitiser

A mother was mortified after finding out her 5-year-old daughter had taken her lube to school instead of a hand sanitizer.

While emptying her girl’s school coat’s pockets before putting it into the washing machine, Louise Hosie discovered something quite embarrassing.

As per Daily Mail, the 36-year-old mother from Livingstone, Scotland, was shocked to find a bottle of intimate lotion in her daughter’s pockets. The Sun reports that when the innocent five-year-old named Summer saw the ‘Ann Summers’ logo on the bottle, she thought it meant it was hers.

After an awkward conversation with her daughter, the mom-of-three discovered that little Summer had been using the lotion as a hand sanitizer.

Moreover, she had even shared it with her classmates. The stunned mother shares:

“I’d done a balloon pop with Ann Summers where the lady goes live online and she pops it and you get your prize. Mine was two bottles of lube and some perfume, but I’d just left it in the box, it hadn’t been touched. I went to wash Summer’s school jacket the other day and I was emptying out her pockets and I found it. I was like ‘oh my god, why have you got that?’ and she said ‘it’s for my hands, for the germs.'”

In a bid to stay safe amid the coronavirus pandemic and to keep all the germs away, the naive child had mistakenly taken her mom’s lube. Louise felt beyond ashamed when Summer told her she had been sharing the ‘sanitizer’ with her friends at school.

“The prospect of doing the school run after half term has crossed my mind, I’ll be pretty embarrassed to face her teachers. Loads of friends and family have messaged me to laugh about it, they’ve started calling me Lubey Lou.”

Summer’s mom shares she isn’t surprised, as her girl is “always up to mischief.”

Louise explains that during the lockdown, Summer would constantly play pranks on her older brothers Shaun and Liam, aged 14 and 16. She shares:

“She’d seen her brothers doing TikTok videos during lockdown and she ran up behind Liam and cracked an egg on his head. Luckily they saw the funny side, Summer’s always up to mischief.”

Recalling the hilariously embarrassing situation, the mom says she would probably remind Summer of it when she turns 18, saying: “I might put a picture on her birthday cake!”
