United Kingdom: Chased by the police, a criminal decided to hide in the bushes, but he literally blew his own cover with a loud fart.
The fugitive, whose identity is being kept secret, had run into a wooded area near Hayworth, Nottinghamshire on Thursday morning.
A little earlier he had been in a high-speed chase with police but decided to flee on foot and hoped to outsmart them by hiding.
However, his hiding place was quickly given away when he let out a giant fart which immediately alerted officers to his whereabouts.

They quickly arrested him as he had been wanted for two offenses and took him into custody in Mansfield.
In a Facebook post, the Nottinghamshire Police said:
“A trump gave away a wanted man’s hiding place after a foot chase through some woods in the early hours of the morning.
“Police Constable Fenton said: ‘I was almost out of wind running but luckily the suspect still had some. I heard him letting rip and followed the noises to a bush’

In a similar fashion, back in the summer of 2019, as reported by Fox 2 Detroit, police in Clay County, Missouri were able to ‘sniff out’ a person wanted for possession of a controlled substance after the criminal let out an explosive fart.
“We’ve gotta give props to Liberty PD for using their senses to sniff him out!”, a person wrote on the Clay County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
