Why You’ll Regret Losing A Good Woman Who Waited For You To Grow Up

Everyone deserves a second-chance, but when a good woman is done – she is done and there’s no going back.

Wouldn’t it be great if life was like the movies? Where two people fall in love, go through relationship trials, learn a valuable lesson, forgive and grow together as a couple… Where mistakes are made, but it’s okay because one person admits their error, and works on themselves to become a better person…

Unfortunately, life doesn’t work this way. Well, maybe sometimes it does but those are rare circumstances with extremely lucky individuals.

How life usually works is like this: two people meet, and they both have issues and baggage. The relationship grows and strengthens as communication lines are clear, and both people are willing to do the work involved. If one person isn’t up to doing this, then the relationship eventually falls apart. And while some people are willing to give thousands of chances and hope for the best after years of the same behaviours, others will walk away, slam the door, and never look back.

A good woman believes in the best, and will give several chances because she has hope.

She can see the good in you, even if you can’t. And she understands why you keep repeating the same patterns, which is why she is so patient. But it can’t go on like that forever.

Every lit candle eventually reaches the end of its wick, and when the flame goes out, there is no chance of getting it alight once more. Regardless of how hard you try, there’s nothing you can do. It doesn’t matter if you finally decide to get a job, make an effort to clean the house, or grow up and apologize for what you have done, once she is done, she is done and there’s no going back.

She will spend her time and energy on something else, most likely herself, and begin a process of self-love to undo the damage of the past. She knows her worth, even if you didn’t.

Of course, the immature party will likely realize they made a fatal error and instead of acknowledging their faults, will comfort themselves with cliche phrases like, “well if they couldn’t handle me at my worst…” Which is so far from the truth. The reality is that nobody has to stay around for anyone else’s toxic garbage, and nobody deserves a stressful, chaos-filled life because their partner can’t take responsibility for their harmful behaviours.

You had a good woman who loved you and supported you at your lowest point, and instead of appreciating her, you tried to walk all over.

You took her kindness for granted, and expected her to always be by your side because she was just so loving.

Once you grow up and sort yourself out, you will undoubtedly find someone who will work out in a relationship with you. But it’s easy to love someone and support them when things are going well and they have their life together. The real sign of love is when someone is willing to help you through the dark times, and they see they good in you that you haven’t discovered yet.

You had that, and you threw it away.

While you have moments that painfully remind you of what you could have had, she is looking ahead to a better future without you.
