Homeless man sells lime to feed stray cats

We are often touched when we see random people helping out the starving homeless. And it is simply inspiring to see some of these acts of kindness go viral on social media.

Sometimes, however, it is the homeless themselves who do incredible deeds and are viewed as examples for others to emulate.

Recently, for instance, a homeless man earned the respect of many people around the world by saving street cats from starvation.

His name is Loong Dum, and he is from Thailand.

People are moved with Loong putting his needs second to those of the cats. Just like a devoted father, he sells limes in order to buy cat food for the poor animals. Buyers, however, are hard to come by because of Loong’s untidy looks.

But this hasn’t stopped him from trying, and in his mind, feeding the cats takes priority over his own hunger. Thus, most of the little money he makes goes towards cat food.

Loong lives on the streets and around the train station in Bangkok. And despite being unable to get a proper meal in his belly most of the time, he still manages to feed the strays he sees as family.

Thankfully, a young girl named Warunya Wattanasupachoke took notice of Loong’s life. She was pleasantly surprised by how Loong treats the cats like his own children, putting their needs first before his.

Warunya then brought the story to Facebook, where she encouraged people to buy limes from the cat savior. Many responded to Warunya’s request, and as a result, Loong was able to buy more cat food for his tiny friends.

He even got to have a haircut and was kindly given fresh clothes to wear. At least in this way, people won’t shy away from buying Loong’s limes.
