A teen from Sweden was beheaded by her Iraqi-born ex-boyfriend for breaking up with him, according to police.
The reports come after a wide-scale search was carried out that led to a shocking discovery.
17-year-old Wilma Andersson went missing on November 14 after visiting her ex-boyfriend, Tishko Ahmed Shabaz, 23, in order to collect some of her personal things.
Later on, police searched the man’s apartment in the town of Uddevalla and found blood traces all over, according to local media.
They eventually found Wilma’s head in a suitcase wrapped in aluminum foil and sticky tape.
The boyfriend was consequently charged with the teen’s murder.
Around 5000 experts, policemen, and volunteers took part in the search for Wilma, in one of the country’s largest searches ever, after she was reported missing by her shaken mother.
A week later, her head was found by investigators, but the location of Wilma’s body remains unknown.
The teen’s ex-boyfriend denies committing the murder, as per reports.
According to her friends, he was highly controlling, telling her what she could wear, where she could go, and who she could hang out with.
Wilma’s mother, Linda told local media:
“I kept ringing the doorbell. But he only said that they had had an argument and that she just ran out of the apartment.”
Her handbag and coat were reportedly still hanging in the closet and her mother says she would never have left home without them.
Så oerhört fruktansvärt… Vila i frid! ♥️
