Free Doughnuts! Krispy Kreme gives free doughnuts to people whose birthdays were during lockdown
Who said free doughnuts? If you had a birthday during the quarantine, and you crave a sweet treat, Krispy Kreme is the right place for you.
They are giving away free doughnuts for all people whose birthdays were in lockdown.
The delicious offer is available in the UK and Australia, LADbible reveals. In Australia, those who were born between March 13 and July 13, can feel free to go to Krispy Kreme and get their free birthday doughnuts. As for the UK, if your birthday was between March 23 and July 3, you can go and claim your special free treat.
Australians whose birthday was during the lockdown will get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts. All they need to do is bring their ID to a participating store. Those in the UK get a single Original Glazed doughnut with any purchase.
In the UK, the offer is available all week from July 13 until July 19.
Unfortunately, the tasty offer was accessible in Krispy Kreme Australia for only a day. No wonder, as about 4 million of the country’s population was born during that period. In an Instagram post, they wrote:
“We’ve received such a massive response to our Iso Bday celebration that all of our stores have now SOLD OUT of delicious Original Glazed dozens! March-July babies, give yourself a pat on the back – you sure love your doughnuts!”
The director of Krispy Kreme UK and Ireland, Richard Cheshire, said:
“We started making our iconic Original Glazed doughnut from the USA in 1937. Ever since, we’ve always been committed to making people smile. For our birthday this year, we want to bring smiles to the millions of UK doughnut fans who feel like they missed out on celebrations this year by offering the joy of an Original Glazed treat on us!”
Meanwhile, Andrew McGuigan, CEO of Krispy Kreme Australia stated:
“From toilet paper presents to zoom parties to less-than-impressive cakes, there’s no doubt birthday celebrations have been lacking these last few months. So, we’ve decided to share some joy with all those who missed out, with our biggest doughnut giveaway to date.”
Sadly, doughnuts lovers will not be able to claim their free delight via online purchase, or through food delivery apps. Besides, stores in Ireland and branches of Selfridges, Bentalls, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Moto, Universities, Welcome Break, Roadchef, Shell, EuroGarages, or Center Parcs will not offer the special free treat.
However, Krispy Kreme U.S. and Canada will also jump in the special birthday offer.
In a social media post, they announced:
