Cheeky dog forces woman to the back seat of the car so she can unashamedly hold hands with her husband
A playful dog insisted on sitting in the front seat of her human family’s car and seemed very keen on showing her mistress there was some strong competition for the affection of her husband.
Lucy the golden retriever made Carissa sit in the back of the car and was positively thrilled as she climbed up to the front seat alongside Jacob, Carissa’s husband.
The hilarious footage shows cheeky smiley Lucy reaching for Jacob’s hand with her left paw while flashing Carissa a triumphant smirk. The expression on Lucy’s face is just priceless, while Carissa can be heard bursting into laughter.
The video went viral in no time, and people have fallen in love with Lucy and her ‘smug face’.
Here are some of their comments:
Even though some dogs have evident boundary issues concerning their human parents, they apparently also come in very handy when it comes to falling in love.
Match.com chief adviser Dr. Helen Fisher told The New York Times that having a dog can indicate a man’s caring nature, which gives out a ‘powerful mating signal’.
According to Dr. Fisher:
“Having a dog really says something about you,
It says you can care for a creature, that you can follow a schedule and get home to feed it, that you can walk it and love it and spend time with it.”
She added:
“That’s the bottom line message that women get when they see a man with a dog: He’s capable of nurturing, of giving without receiving a lot, of caring for another. He’s made a commitment to this animal,
And one thing women have needed for years and years is a partner who could share the load, be responsible, care for them if they’re sick and show up on time.”
And there we have it. While dogs can cause some mayhem in a relationship, they ultimately bring us together and reflect our caring and nurturing sides to any potential partners.
