Cops Arrest Lawyer For Dressing As Michael Myers On Beach

An attorney who decided to dress up as Michael Myers from 80’s horror flick ‘Halloween’ and hit the beach was arrested.

Mark Metzger, a lawyer from Texas whose costume set came with a fake knife covered with blood, walked on the beach in order to prank people last Monday after the courts were closed due to Hurricane Nicholas.

But the cops didn’t find the stunt funny, and while the lawyer went viral on the web for his accomplishment – playing his part even when officers confronted him – he was eventually handcuffed as the prank turned out to be illegal.

Galveston police received a call about the horror icon being spotted on the beach by a passerby who got frightened by the sight of his bloody knife. As the cops approached Metzger, they quickly came to understand that it was all just a big goof but arrested him regardless for disorderly conduct.

In an interview with ABC13, a local man named Adam Garrison said that what went down on Monday at the beach was just “another day on the island.”

The Cops Didn’t Get It

Meanwhile, the lawyer told the station that he was just trying to find a “little bit of positivity in the gloomy doom.” And when his prank didn’t go as well as he had hoped, he said that “some people out there […] don’t have a sense of humor.”

Metzger noted that he has performed similar pranks before but this was the first time it resulted in “lethal force” being used after he did not comply with the officer’s demands at first.

He said:

“It felt like a scene out of Scooby-Doo after they handcuffed me and pulled the mask off, like, I would have gotten away with it if wasn’t for those meddling Karens, you know?”

Metzger has since been let go but said he would definitely do another such prank in the future.
