Chris Hemsworth donates $1 million to help Australia during the devastating wildfires

The famous actor Chris Hemsworth made a generous donation of $1 million to support his home country in the fight against the devastating brush fires.

He urges his fans to help Australia in any form or way possible.

On Monday, Hemsworth posted an Instagram video sharing about his donation. He asked his followers not to stay indifferent to this ecological catastrophe. In the video he says:

“Hey there guys, as you’re well aware the bushfires in Australia have caused massive devastation. They continue to burn, there’s warmer weather on its way, we’re really still in the thick of it here, as is plenty of challenging times ahead still to come.”

The 36-year-old actor requests his supporters to donate as well, saying that every penny counts in these disastrous times.

To his millions of fans, Chris says:

“I was hoping that all of you could contribute in any way, shape, or form. Every dollar counts. That money goes directly to the firefighters, the people on the front lines, the people who have suffered, the communities that have taken a hit and are in desperate need for our support.”

The massive wildfires burning in Australia have wiped out millions of acres of land and destroyed hundreds of homes. Tragically, there are already 25 people who had died as a result of the fires. Many animals have lost their precious lives too.

The Australian box office star shares his gratitude to everyone who has sent their well wishes and donations.

In the video caption, he writes a similar message:

“Every penny counts so whatever you can muster up is greatly appreciated…
Beyond appreciative to everyone around the world for their well wishes and donations. It really does make a difference, so dig deep! Love ya.”

Chris Hemsworth also shared links for several organizations you can donate, including the Australian Red Cross, World Wildlife Fund, and the Irwin’s Wildlife Warriors.
