Cat With Two-Tone Face Fathers Kittens in Each of his Colors

An exceptional cat named Narnia, whose head is half grey and half black, has recently become the father of two bundles of joy in each of his colors.

Prada is the one in black and Phoenix the one in grey.

Narnia’s strange anomaly is exceptionally rare and is normally caused by a condition known as chimerism.

Chimerism occurs when an organism, also known as a chimera, has more than one set of genes, which means it has a number of sets of DNA.

It is believed to be the result of the joining of embryos during the first developmental stages.

Narnia’s owner, Stephanie Jiminez, who works as a professional cat breeder, decided to get him tested and the results showed something astonishing:

Narnia has just ONE set of genes, which means he is in fact not a chimera.

There could be a logical explanation for his condition, but all we know is that he is able to procreate and pass on his special genes.

His wondrous blue eyes also make him one of a kind, as this trait usually tends to happen in white cats.

Both of Narnia’s babies have green eyes.

“When Narnia was born, I was extremely surprised. I knew immediately that he was exceptional. Narnia was born with a double black and grey face, which is very rare – normally a cat cannot be black and grey,” Jiminez told Press Reader.

And this one sure is!

Narnia still lives with Jiminez in the UK, while the two babies have moved in with their new families.

If this miracle cat keeps on breeding, it will be interesting to see how the next generations will turn out, and whether they will continue passing Narnia’s genes on.

Narnia’s rare condition is truly a miracle, especially since both Phoenix and Prada possess each of his true colors.
