Bride, 33, suffers a ‘heart attack’ during her own wedding

A bride is fighting for her life after suffering an alleged heart attack at her own wedding.

  • The bride from Israel collapsed during her wedding
  • Guests managed to keep her alive until paramedics arrived
  • She remains in critical condition

On Sunday, during the ceremony, the 33-year-old woman from the Sadot Negev region in southern Israel collapsed and suffered what doctors believe was a heart attack, Daily Mail reports.

Luckily, some of the guests at the wedding were medical professionals. As per IsraelHayom, they were able to perform CPR on the bride, herself a doctor, while waiting for the paramedics to arrive.

The young woman was then rushed to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. At the time, she was in a critical condition. Currently, she is being treated in the intensive care unit in the cardiology wing of the hospital.

With wedding halls closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the bridal ceremony was held in the garden of a private home. Although traditional Israel weddings are known for being large, lavish events with hundreds of guests including family, friends, and more, the current regulations didn’t allow it. As the world is still battling with COVID-19, one of the precautions is that the bride and groom can invite no more than 20 guests each in attendance.

According to Worldometers, by Tuesday, September 1, there are 117,030 total coronavirus cases in Israel, with 939 deaths.
