‘Bearbnb’ is now available for anyone who loves the adorable children’s classic Winnie the Pooh.
An Airbnb property entirely inspired by the Winnie the Pooh house is now available for an enchanting holiday in the woods.
As Daily Mail reveals, Bearbnb was designed by Disney-appointed Winnie the Pooh illustrator Kim Raymond. What’s more, it is built in the very same forest that inspired Milne’s Hundred Acre Wood.
The adorable little house has tree trunks framing the doorway and shelves piled up with ‘hunny’ pots. The main rule in the house remains strictly no Heffalumps allowed inside.
Raymond, who has been drawing the beloved bear for decades, said:
“I have been illustrating Winnie the Pooh for 30 years and I continue to be inspired by the classic decorations of E.H. Shepard and the more recent Disney stories.
The ‘Bearbnb’ is a unique experience that brings the charm of Pooh to life for fans, whilst honouring the original adventures that have been so important to many people for 95 years.”
The Bearbnb with walls lined with bespoke Pooh wallpaper, patterned with acorns and stripes, is located in Ashdown Forest, East Sussex.
The incredibly cozy atmosphere inside the charming house consists of one double bed, two matching bunk beds, a comfortable blue sofa, and a sweet little kitchenette.
In the property’s description, Raymond notes:
“For those all-important naps which Pooh is famed for, there is sleeping space for a family of four. The double bed will be floor level and the single beds will be on a mezzanine level accessed via timber ladders…
During each stay, guests will be taken on a guided tour through the original Hundred Acre Wood, play Poohsticks on the iconic Poohsticks Bridge and enjoy locally sourced hunny-inspired meals.”
And if you want to bring your pet along for the adventure, have in mind that only Roos, Tiggers, Eeyores, Piglets, and Pooh Bears are allowed to spend the night.
Moreover, guests of the Bearbnb can also head to Poohsticks Bridge to play Poohsticks and enjoy a guided tour of the surrounding forest.
The first two stays in the endearing little house will be hosted by Raymond on September 24 and 25.
The stay at the Bearbnb will cost £95($130) per night. All booking fees will be donated to children’s charity Together for Short Lives.
Catherine Powell, Airbnb’s Global Head of Hosting, said:
“Winnie the Pooh is a childhood jewel beloved by families the world over. This year, the original books celebrate their 95th anniversary. What better way to commemorate A.A. Milne’s classic work than with these two once-in-a-lifetime stays in the original Hundred Acre Wood. A perfect place to do nothing. As Pooh said, “doing ‘Nothing’ often leads to the very best Something”.”
Tasia Filippatos, Senior Vice President of Consumer Products, Games and Publishing at The Walt Disney Company, added:
“For over 95 years, Winnie the Pooh has inspired generations with his memorable words, experiences and adventures. These timeless tales explore life’s simple pleasures and in that spirit, we hope guests are able to sit back and relax in the “Bearbnb”, and “be more Pooh” for the day.”
If you want to spend a magical night at the Winnie The Pooh-inspired Bearbnb, you need to be quick, as booking dates will go live on September 20 at 2 pm, and Airbnb expects a high level of interest.
