Amber Heard’s sister, Whitney, took a shot at MTV for allowing Johnny Depp to appear on this year’s Video Music Awards show.
Whitey expressed her anger on social media, where she criticized MTV for airing footage of the actor wearing a space outfit.
In the video, Johnny can be seen flying above the stage saying:
“I just want you guys to know that I’m available for birthdays, Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, wakes, any old thing you need.
“And you know what? I needed the work.”
The actor’s unexpected appearance ignited many discussions online, with Amber’s sister writing on social media:
“@MTV you’re disgusting and clearly desperate! I really hope that none of the people that made this call have daughters.”
Her post was written on top of an image titled ‘DVMAs I stand with Amber Heard,’ implying that Amber Heard has been the victim of domestic violence.
Recently, Johnny and Amber were involved in a court case in which she was ordered to pay her ex more than $10 million for defamation.

And while some people supported Whitney and her sister, many stand with Johnny.
One person commented:
“He wasn’t even nominated, but Johnny Depp won the #VMAs.”
Another fan said:
“Johnny Depp hasn’t said a word for 3 months. He’s been booked and busy while the other side is still obsessed and won’t leave him alone. I love how they don’t exist to him, meanwhile, he’s living rent-free in their heads.”
So far, MTV has not responded to Whitney’s attacks.
Following the trial, Whitney wrote the following on social media:
“I still stand with you, sissy.
“Yesterday, today and tomorrow I will always be proud of you for standing up for yourself, for testifying both here in Virginia and in the UK, and for being the voice of so many who can’t speak to the things that happen behind closed doors.
“We knew that this was going to be an uphill battle and that the cards were stacked against us. But you stood up and spoke out regardless.
“I am so honoured to testify for you, and I would do it a million times over because I know what I saw and because the truth is forever on your side.”
