Adorable 2-year-old boy cannot believe mom would leave for work without kissing him goodbye, viral video shows

A mother of two from Jacksonville, Florida recently posted a video of her 2-year-old son complaining about how she left for work without kissing him goodbye – and the sweet video has gone viral since. 

“After Alexander’s soccer practice I was in such a hurry to get back to work and my baby Alex was very upset he didn’t get the proper goodbye,” Diana Simos shared on Facebook earlier this month. “He had a lot to say and my husband got it all on video,” she added.

In the video shot by Christos, Diana’s husband, their boy Alexander can be seen in shocking disbelief, trying to tell his father about mommy’s hasty departure.

“She didn’t give you a kiss?” Christos helpfully translates, seeing as Alexander is only communicating in short phrases and kissing noises.

“And she just went to work?” Christos asks his son “What kind of mama does that?!”

He seemed upset that his mother did not kiss him or his baby sister goodbye.

“Aww man!” he says, repeating his dad’s reaction.

Diana said she laughed her heart out when she saw the video – and it naturally struck a chord on social media, too. The video has since been shared by news outlets such as WJAX and Fox10 Phoenix and was viewed by more than 500,000 people.

“Mommy u are in big trouble when you get home,” one person joked on Facebook. “This is sooo sooo precious.”

“That was adorable and I hope momma doesn’t forget to kiss those babies anymore,” another said.

Diana said the video broke her heart too and she made sure to make it up to Alexander when she got home.
