25 times people paid more income tax than Donald Trump allegedly did
President Trump’s taxes are the hottest topic circulating around different social media platforms.
An article published by the New York Times claimed that the US President paid only $750 in income tax in 2016. What’s more, according to the paper, Trump paid entirely nothing for 10 out of the 15 years they analyzed.
As per BuzzFeed News, responding to the detailed report, President Donald Trump said the accusations were “totally fake news”. While people are suspicious of the issue, as it comes only weeks before the presidential election, they are also furious with the revealed information about Trump’s taxes. Many social media users took it to Twitter and shared their personal experience with paying much more income tax than the president himself.

I've lived paycheck to paycheck.
When I couldn't pay rent, I was evicted.
When I had COVID-19, I fell into medical debt.
When I couldn't afford my taxes, my nursing license was suspended.
Trump didn't pay taxes, but he gets free housing, healthcare, and the presidency.

I run a small business that has never made more than six figures annually.
Trump paid $750 in taxes in 2017. That year, I paid 225 times that.
I am revolted. https://t.co/0tZRbBW8Ot

In 2010 I earned so little that I got a tax rebate. The government looked at my earnings, and thought “this bloke needs this money more than schools and hospitals”. That year I still paid more income tax than Donald Trump.

As someone who takes about $17,000 or so a year after taxes, I have paid more in taxes this YEAR (and more taxes will be paid this year) than Trump did in 2016 and 2017. I live paycheck to paycheck while he lives a lavish lifestyle so yeah. Trump can continue to kiss my ass.

I’m a PhD student and regardless of how much I work I get paid for 4 hours/day- interestingly, to date my taxes are $2,008🤔. $1258 more than Mr Trump paid for a whole year. I don’t want to make assumptions but I feel confident I don’t make 62% more than he.

He paid $750 in taxes. Seven hundred fifty dollars. I’m a single teacher. One income. At least four times that. I want to vomit.

I own a business. I paid waaaay more than $750.00 in taxes. You know why? I didn’t try to deduct 70,000 for haircuts. I didn’t borrow so much money I was in staggering debt and because wait for it – my business was successful so I owed taxes. #TrumpIsBroke ##DonTheCon pic.twitter.com/CQ7T1Ukfvd
