A young mom gave birth to NINE babies instead of seven.
Halima Cisse, a 25-year-old Malian woman, was told she was expecting seven babies. The doctors who treated her during her pregnancy apparently missed two heartbeats on her scans, as she actually gave birth to nine!

Following ultrasound procedures conducted both in Mali and in Morocco, the medics were able to detect only seven babies.
Today, Halima is a mother to nonuplets – five girls and four boys. As Daily Mail reports, all the newborns are “doing fine” after a cesarian section in Morocco.

Ms. Cisse’s unusual pregnancy journey caught the attention of the Malian leaders. Even the country’s health minister, Fanta Siby, got involved in the process. Siby said in a statement:
“The newborns and the mother are all doing well.”
