Passers-By Ignore A Street Musician’s Performance, But He Finds A Different Kind Of Audience

Performances in public places for gratuities, also known as busking, appeared as early as antiquity and were present in almost every major culture.

There were street performing artists in France where people called them troubadours and jongleurs. In Germany, buskers were called Minnesingers and Spielleute.

Busking is typical of some Romani people as well. They brought the word busking to England while traveling to Spain and the Atlantic and then to England and Europe.

For a lot of musicians, playing on the street was the most common employment at the times when recordings didn’t exist.

It turns out that this tradition has survived through the centuries. And is still alive today as street artists/musicians are to be seen almost in all big cities.

Like this Malaysian fellow on the picture below who’s performing on the street during the night.

Unfortunately, very often people neglect the talented performances of street musicians. Just like it happened with this Malaysian guy. Happily, human beings are not the only creatures in this world who are able to appreciate good music. It turns out.

Although there aren’t any people listening to this dude’s live performance, four cute kittens seem to be fascinated by it.

You can see him playing in front of his furry audience in the video below.
