Publicly rejected and humiliated teen gets the last laugh when 13 girls ask him out to homecoming

It is a pretty courageous act to ask somebody out, especially if you are in high school and very shy on top of everything.

But if it’s your first attempt to do so…well, that makes it even more stressful.

Dakota Nelton, a young high school sophomore teen from Gray, Louisiana, is a prime example of how asking somebody out can go south really quickly.

After he gained the confidence and courage to ask a girl to the homecoming dance, he was instantly rejected.

Such a big moment for him crumbled into pieces in seconds

The girl said no in front of all their classmates, and if that isn’t bad enough, they laughed and mocked him while stepping on the poster he had made to ask the big question.

Consequently, Dakota started walking away from the condescending group of people, feeling very humiliated, to say the least.

When asked about the event, he told WGNO Orleans that:

It was actually a pretty tough moment standing in a small circle with that one shake of the head and you just got to find your way out of that circle.”

And as if matters couldn’t get any worse, the whole ordeal was filmed by laughing bystanders and uploaded to Facebook for thousands of people to see. As a result, people all over the US got to witness this young boy’s public humiliation.

However, a couple of days later Dakota arrived at school, completely unaware of what was waiting for him that day.

While he was walking down the hallway, 13 girls with signs approached him, all asking him out to the dance.

Take a look at the video below and see why Dakota actually had the last laugh in the situation!
