You have been hurt many times. More than you could even remember.
You have sacrificed yourself to prove your love to them.
And it was all for nothing.
Each time you gave your heart away, hoping that it would be taken care of, you were disappointed and left to suffer. Each time you made the decision to show vulnerability, a piece of your heart was destroyed. No matter how hard you tried to be the perfect partner, your love and efforts were always taken for granted.
And they always asked for more than you could actually give them. But no matter the request, you never said no. Every time you offered them the world, the moon, the sky, and the stars. And yet, for some reason, it was never enough.
They took you for granted, they made you feel worthless, they tried to control you, they treated you less than you deserve, they crushed your self-esteem, they found a way to press all your buttons and manipulated you until you became their victim.
Whatever may have happened, do not blame yourself. You have suffered enough as it is.
There will come a person who appreciates you more than anyone ever has. Someone who will be more than happy to have you in their life. Someone who will not be scared to admit that to you wholeheartedly.
There will come a person who will love you more than you can imagine.
They will show you that the magic of love truly exists and that it comes when you least expect it. You will get to know what it feels to be genuinely, passionately and deeply in love.
There will come someone who will make you the happiest person in the world. Someone who will introduce you to emotions you never thought you could possibly experience. This special someone will finally light your inner flame and make you the happiest person alive.
There will come someone who will support you in everything you do and show you unconditional respect.
You will never again wonder if you are good enough because this person will show you how blessed they feel by your mere existence. That special someone will be your biggest fan and will make sure you know that the sky is your limit.
Sure, it will take some time for you to meet him or her. But one thing is for sure – that special someone is somewhere out there and is thirsty for your love as much as you are for theirs.
You just need to be patient and ready to open your heart when that time comes.
