Man, 33, arrested after opening plane’s emergency exit and strolling onto the wing

A man climbed out of a plane’s emergency hatch and walked onto the wing just moments after it landed.

Christian Segura, 33, an American Airlines passenger, has been arrested after walking onto the plane’s wing just moments after it landed. As Daily Mail reports, the incident took place at Miami International Airport on Wednesday, September 29.

Segura allegedly opened the emergency exit as the plane was taxiing towards the terminal. He then climbed out of the hatch and started walking along the wing.

Airport authorities claimed the incident did not cause any delays. An American Airlines spokesperson issued a statement, saying:

“We are aware of an incident involving a passenger on American Airlines flight 920 from Cali, Colombia (CLO) to Miami (MIA).

While customers were exiting the plane at the gate, a passenger opened the over-wing emergency exit and jumped onto the ramp. The customer was immediately detained by law enforcement officials. All other customers deplaned normally.

We thank our team members for their professionalism and apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”
