Her photoshoot was made at the beginning of March, just before the United Kingdom introduced its coronavirus lockdown.

“I am sure I feel like everyone else, such unprecedented times are quite hard to comprehend,” she told the magazine.

“What is a good thing is that it has made people aware of the predicament of others who are completely alone”

“If a great deal of kindness comes out of this, then that will be a plus,” she added.

During the lockdown, the actress went viral for a video recorded by her daughter back in March.

In the Vogue interview, Dench talks about her life in Surrey and her distaste for the word “retirement.”

She is wearing Dolce & Gabbana on the cover, which was made by photographer Nick Knight.
