Be warned: You will regret losing the person who always waited for you

Never let a good person go. 

Don’t be fooled by people who say that if someone loves you they will love you no matter what. This person is not obligated to wait for you to build your career and accomplish all that you ever wanted before you make the choice to settle down with them.

And even though this might sound perfectly natural to you, that will not be the case.

Life is not a romantic comedy, and most people are not as naive as they once were.

They will not wait for you to decide whether you want to spend your life with them or not.

They won’t be waiting for you to find yourself before making that decision.

Sure, you may get a second chance. But once they decide they’ve had enough, it’ll all be over. You cannot bring back a good person who has seen through your manipulations.

They gave you multiple chances before, just because they still believed in your potential. They also believed in your good nature and that you would never break their heart. They believed in a shared future with you.

But once they have had enough, once they see through your games, bringing them back becomes a pointless cause.

No person in their right mind, regardless of how kind and understanding they are, can be made to stay in such a dishonest relationship.

You don’t have the right to hold them captive and play games with their pure souls until you decide what you want to do with your life.

If you have any decency left in you, you should leave them alone and let them move on in peace.

However, make no mistake, you will regret letting them go. Why? Because they never gave up on you. They were with you through your worst and your best days.

And as soon as they leave, you will realize what you’ve lost.

You had it all, and you let it fall apart. You can blame nobody but yourself.

You know the saying, “you’ve made your bed, now lie in it.”
