Georgia police are now searching for the suspect who ruthlessly murdered a 12-year-old boy before his family’s eyes.
Officials are urging for the public’s help in finding the killer, who fled the scene, ABC News reports.
On Thursday night, Brayan Zavala, of Riverdale, Georgia, was helping his father and brother to fix a lawnmower in the family’s front yard. Suddenly, a masked person, who was allegedly armed with a shotgun, approached the boy.
As Clayton County Police reveals, the suspect fired a single shot, which was enough to kill the innocent boy. Tragically, Brayan died at the scene, while the shooter fled before officers arrived.
The police said in an official statement:
“The Clayton County Police Department is humbly asking the community and any persons having knowledge of this crime to contact the police department or Crime Stoppers for any information about this case.”
