From your WiFi connection, to smart meters and even your cell phone, the exposure of electromagnetic fields (EMF) in the home has almost tripled in the last decade.
EMF’s are created by the difference in the voltage and the magnetic field when an electric current flows. This means that when switched on, all electronic devices are sending out their own energetic frequency.
Seeing as humans also have their own energy frequency, the EMF’s from these devices can interfere with it, causing a range of health complications ranging from headaches to DNA damage.
In fact, severals studies have linked the use of cell phone use to brain tumors and even more studies have found a correlation between living near a cell tower and the increased risk of cancer.
Because EMF’s come from electronic devices like your cell phone, laptop, TV and microwave, avoiding them is almost impossible, but there are some steps you can take to protect yourself:
1.) Limit Cell Phone and WiFi Use
Cell phones and Wi-Fi are the biggest suppliers of electromagnetic radiation in the home. Limit your time on your cell phone or use it hands-free when possible. Using your left ear to chat, instead of your right has also shown to cause less damage to brain proteins. Turn your Wi-Fi off at night or when not in use.
2.) Avoid Using Microwaves
Microwaves cause the vibration of food particles in order to generate heat. This damages the nutritional qualities of the food and can contribute to free radical damage in the body. Warm your foods on the stove or oven instead and if you have to use the microwave, never stand next to it while it’s on.
3.) Limit TV and Computer Use
Limit your time in front of the TV and computer when possible. If you are at your desk and you are not using your computer, switch the screen off. At night, always unplug your TV and computers from the source so they are not on standby.
4.) Increase Your Consumption of Antioxidants
Antioxidants help to reverse free radical damage in the body. Antioxidant rich foods include cranberries, blueberries, green tea, artichokes, broccoli, goji berries, acai berries and tomatoes. Foods rich in Vitamin C and E are also beneficial.
Many people believe that walking barefoot on the grass, “earthing” can reduce radiative stress and help reconnect the body to its own vibration. While this is not scientifically proven, some studies have appeared to find that earthing can increase overall health and immune function.
